The Emmett Environmental Law & Policy Clinic is now accepting applications from law students for research assistance on a variety of topics during the summer 2017.  The topics may include climate change displacement (international and domestic), climate adaptation, renewable energy and net zero emissions, and citizen lawsuits and citizen science.  RAs will assist with ongoing clinic projects and help with the preparation of materials for the clinic course.

The RAs will work between June and September.  We have flexibility regarding start and end dates for each RA, but we will prefer applicants who are able to commit to working for 6 weeks between June and September.  RAs may work remotely with regular check-ins. RAs will be paid at the standard HLS hourly rate. The expectation is that each RA will work approximately 20 hours/week. We are also open to hiring a full-time RA (35 hours/week) who would work on campus with us.

Applicants must possess outstanding academic credentials as well as excellent research and writing skills.  Applications will be considered on a rolling basis.

Please apply by sending the following materials to the Clinic Director, Prof. Wendy Jacobs, at, with a copy to Jacqueline Calahong at
