Sarah will return to Maxwell Street Legal Clinic, a program of Kentucky Equal Justice Center, the only immigrant nonprofit that serves the Appalachian region of Kentucky, where she also spent her 2L summer. Sarah will work as a staff attorney, not only providing direct services but also assisting with fundraising, volunteer supervision, and community outreach. In law school, Sarah participated in Harvard’s Immigration Project, where she assisted with advocacy efforts around the Trust Act and the Immigration and Refugee Clinic. She also worked as a summer law clerk at the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office, served as Vice President to the African Development Conference, and was Editor at the Harvard Latino Law Review. Before law school, Sarah worked as an AmeriCorps Youth Program Specialist and an AmeriCorps Economic Empowerment Specialist. She has a B.S. in Biblical Studies from Campbellsville University. She has a judicial law clerkship in the Eastern District of Kentucky lined up for 2016.
