Lynnette will work with the Impact Fund, a nonprofit that provides strategic leadership and support for social justice litigation. Lynnette will advocate for low-wage Bay Area restaurant workers who experience sexual harassment. Since graduating from law school, Lynnette has been working as a law clerk for Hon. Fortunato Benavides in the U.S. Court of Appeals, Fifth Circuit. As a law student, she worked as a summer law clerk for the Gender Equity & LGBT Rights Program at the Legal Aid Society and received a Chayes Fellowship to spend a summer in Sierra Leone providing legal services to grassroots communities with Timap For Justice. She was a clinical student at the Equal Justice Initiative and the Harvard International Human Rights Clinic. Lynnette has also served as co-editor-in-chief of Harvard’s Human Rights Journal and holds a B.A. with Highest Distinction in Political Science from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. Before law school, she worked at an IT consulting company and spent a summer conducting field research for human rights organizations in Rwanda.
