Global Labor Justice- International Labor Rights Forum

Bangkok, Thailand

Johanna will spend her fellowship year with Global Labor Justice-International Labor Rights Forum (GLJ-ILRF) in Bangkok, Thailand, working to advance corporate accountability and curb the prevalence of forced labor in the seafood industry. During her time in law school, Johanna was involved with the Human Rights and Business Association (HuB) and HLS Advocates for Human Rights, as well as the International Human Rights Clinic, the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinic, and Making Rights Real: The Ghana Project Clinic. She also interned remotely with Corporate Accountability Lab (CAL) and served as a Douglass Fellow with the Human Trafficking Institute. During her 1L and 2L summers, Johanna interned with the NGOs Legal Support for Children and Women (LSCW) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and the Coalition to Abolish Slavery & Trafficking (CAST) in Los Angeles, CA. Johanna holds a B.A. in Social Studies from Harvard College and a M.A. in Human Rights and Humanitarian Action from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po).
