ITS is aware of an issue affecting Outlook 2016. Though the cause has not yet been identified, there is a solution that will get Outlook back up and running without updating to Office 365.

Problem: When you start Outlook you see an error that looks like this:

Solution: Install this Outlook Update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/november-7-2017-update-for-outlook-2016-kb4011240-a1955c0e-40ca-09fc-b49b-b90d8b122dd7

  • At the Download Center, select the 64-bit version of the the update
