The Law Library Faculty Services Department is seeking a Student Reference Assistant. They will work with the Faculty Services librarians on faculty research projects and other duties. The assistant will be supervised by the Faculty Services Manager.

This is a great opportunity to learn how to research a wide variety of cutting-edge legal issues and related non-legal academic subjects. The assistant will work on projects for multiple faculty.

Assist law library research librarians with scholarly research and library projects

May include:
• Researching primary and secondary law sources and literature
• Preparing bibliographies
• Writing research memoranda
• Cite-checking or Blue-booking tasks
• Reviewing library guides, library FAQs, and other online resources
• Assisting Scholarship Librarian with maintaining faculty publication lists
• Other projects as assigned

• Current HLS law student – 2L, 3L, LLM, or SJD
• Proficiency with legal research and writing

• Previous research or library experience
• Foreign language expertise

Hours are flexible within standard work hours. May work up to 20 hours a week.
