Beginning Friday, May 10th at 10:00 PM through Monday, May 13th at 7:00 AM, Verizon will complete scheduled maintenance on the Harvard VoIP system. At the same time, the VoIP phone directory will be replaced.
The following outlines VoIP service availability during the maintenance window.
Services that will be available throughout the maintenance window:
- VoIP Phone Service: There will be brief 1 to 2 second interruption that will cause phones to re-register. Active calls, however, will not be impacted.
- Jabber Service: Users will experience no more than a 10 minute interruption when services fail over. Users should exit and log back into Jabber to reset the connection.
Services that will be unavailable throughout the maintenance window:
- Online End User Account Portal: Changes made via the portal should be completed prior to 5:00 PM on Friday to ensure updates are processed properly.
- The audio conferencing unit in Hauser 105 will be unavailable during the entire maintenance window.
