This weekend Verizon will complete the Harvard Phone VoIP recovery to the primary data center. The effort will begin at 8:00 PM, Friday, March 2nd and activities will go on throughout the weekend ending at 6:00 AM on Monday, March 5th.
- Voice service will be available throughout the event, with the exception of multiple brief sporadic interruptions when phones re-register. In progress calls will not be interrupted.
- Jabber service will be impacted throughout the weekend. Jabber cellphone users may need to sign-out and sign-in to reconnect, and desktop users should EXIT and reconnect. It may take a few minutes for the service to restart, and a certificate warning may be displayed that can be bypassed, by clicking Accept.
On Monday morning, March 5th, normal operations of these services will resume.
