In coordination with national Pro Bono week, we are continuing to build the HLS tradition of service to the community. We are pleased to announce our Fall 2018 Week of Service, which we hope will deepen engagement in the community and include as many staff and faculty as possible in serving in the greater Cambridge area. The Fall 2018 Week of Service will take place October 22-26, 2018. Staff and faculty are welcomed to volunteer for a half-day project with other members of the HLS community and be part of this special week.

Our service partners are listed below with a general description of the organization’s needs and what your role might be. We hope you will find the right fit for you and look forward to a week of service, friendship, and fun.

Note: All of the opportunities have limited availability. To be sure that as many people as possible are able to participate, we ask that each person signs up for only one activity. Please sign up early to be sure you have your first choice. Sign up closes on Thursday, October 4. Don’t miss out!

How to Register

Sign up for the Week of Service and select your preferred time and service location »

While each staff member must sign up individually, you may coordinate with other members of your department if you’d all like to work the same volunteer shift (please make sure your supervisor will permit you all to miss work at the same time). Our hope is that you will have the opportunity to volunteer alongside colleagues from across the Law School community, not just colleagues from your own department.

Please let your supervisor know about the project and the time you will be away from your duties. If you have any questions relating to attendance, payroll, etc., please contact the HR office.
