Meredith Boak is a Lecturer on Law at Harvard Law School and the Assistant Dean for Clinical and Experiential Education and Pro Bono Programs. She has been teaching at HLS since 2013, including courses such as the Legal Profession, Problem Solving Workshop, and Fundamentals of Leadership. She is also a Teaching Fellow for School Law at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.

Previously, Meredith served as the Senior Vice President of Revenue and Development at Teach For America, where she oversaw the revenue strategy for the organization and managed governance for the National Board of Directors. Meredith also clerked for the Honorable Patti B. Saris in the U.S. District Court of Massachusetts and has worked in the General Counsel’s office of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education and the Education Law Center in Philadelphia.

Meredith earned her J.D. cum laude from Harvard Law School and received the Frank S. Righeimer, Jr. Prize for Exceptional Student Citizenship. During her time in law school, she served as the President of the Board of Student Advisors. She was also awarded a Derek Bok Award for Distinction in Teaching from Harvard University. She received her M.S. in Secondary English Education from Pace University, and a B.A. in Political Science, cum laude, from Columbia University. Meredith serves as Chairwoman on the Board of Directors for Brooke Charter Schools and as board member for Empower Schools. She lives in Dorchester with her husband and two children.
