Lecturer on Law
Steven Schaus is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Project on the Foundations of Private Law. His research focuses on issues at the intersection of law and moral philosophy—and especially on issues in tort law, remedies, private law theory, and jurisprudence. He graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was Articles Co-Chair of the Harvard Law Review, and received a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Michigan. After law school, Steve clerked for Judge Harry T. Edwards of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
