Lecturer on Law
Carlos Teuscher is a Lecturer on Law and Director/Clinical Instructor of the Community Enterprise Project (CEP), a clinical program of the Transactional Law Clinics of Harvard Law School that serves clients in the Greater Boston area.
At CEP, Carlos and Harvard Law student advocates represent low-income and immigrant communities on all aspects of transactional law, with a specific focus on assisting worker cooperatives, community land trusts, impact investors, and other social impact groups and coalitions. Through a community lawyering approach, CEP also conducts project-based advocacy, including producing legal toolkits aimed at providing a larger impact to underserved populations. Topics for prior toolkits include a guide to creating worker cooperatives in Massachusetts, a commercial lease toolkit for commercial tenants in Boston, starting a food truck in Boston, and the legal implications of business ownership by immigrant entrepreneurs.
