WCC; 2012 Classroom

How do organizers and activists use art and specifically zines as a medium to advance immigrant justice? How does independent art support individual, community, and movement healing and resilience? How can zines raise awareness about immigrant justice campaigns and advocacy work? Hear from a panel of activist zine-makers for a discussion around using art to inspire, process, and push for change. The panel (12:30-1:30) will be followed by a drop-in creative space with materials to make your own zines, alongside example zines about immigrant justice and collective liberation (1:30-3:00).

Organized as part of the HIP Symposium and with the Harvard Immigration and Refugee Clinical Program.
