This study-group session will analyze the potential assertions of immunity\, constitutional and procedural objections in the ongoing Federal case against former Venezuelan President Nicolas Ma duro. It will rely on US judicial precedents and legal theories such as the protective principle\, act of state and head of state immunity and constit utional due process. The case against General Manuel Antonio Noriega and th e judicial precedents associated will also be contrasted with the facts of the Maduro case.
