SEC Officials Visiting HLS (Virtually): 9:00 am to 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 9th

On Wednesday, November 9^th, William Birdthistle, Director of the SEC Division of Investment Management, and Haoxiang Zhu, Director of the SEC Division of Trading and Markets, along with a few of their colleagues, will be making a virtual visit to Professor Howell Jackson’s Securities Regulation class from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. In addition to discussing the work of their divisions, including issues related to ESG disclosures and digital assets, they will be describing opportunities for working at the SEC both for law students and practicing lawyers. Students interested in the work of the SEC, even if they are not enrolled in the course, are welcome to sit in on this session. Just try to arrive a few minutes before 9:00 AM and enter quietly through the back of the classroom as the class will be ongoing when the virtual visit begins.
