As even many lawyers do not know\ , every federal agency has an inspector general tasked with making governme nt more honest\, efficient\, and accountable. Glenn Fine served as the insp ector general of the Department of Justice from 2000 to 2011 and the acting inspector general of the Department of Defense from 2016 to 2020.
