 eptember 2023\, Anthropic released our Responsible Scaling Policy (RSP)\, a
  public commitment not to train or deploy models capable of causing catastr
 ophic harm unless we have implemented safety and security measures that wil
 l keep risks below acceptable levels. This October\, we updated it to accou
 nt for the lessons we’ve learned - reflecting our view that risk governance
  in this rapidly evolving domain should be proportional\, iterative\, and e
 xportable.  After a short talk introducing and explaining the RSP\, we'll t
 urn to a fireside chat and take questions from the audience.</p><p><strong>
 About the Speaker</strong></p><p>Zac Hatfield-Dodds has been a Member of Te
 chnical Staff at Anthropic since 2021\, working to make AI safe and unlock 
 the enormous benefits—primarily through research and engineering\, with occ
 asional forays into recruiting\, policy\, and management. He's also a Fello
 w of the Python Software Foundation\, Australian\, chocolate enthusiast\, a
