Join the HLS Ad vocates for Human Rights for a lunch talk with Eliza Shyhapova\, an interna tional lawyer and a legal consultant at the International Development Law O rganization (IDLO). Based in The Hague\, she provides expertise on internat ional humanitarian law and international human rights law in armed conflict . Eliza's talk will focus on the militarization of education in the Russia- Ukraine armed conflict and the use of children to actively participate in h ostilities.
Eliza joined IDLO’s delegation to the 23rd International Criminal Court Assembly of State Parties and Ukr aine’s delegation at the 2022 World Economic Forum in Davos. Previously\, s he held positions in public governance and diplomacy. She holds a Master’s degree from Leiden University in the Netherlands and a Master’s degree from Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University in Ukraine.
