Judge Morgan Christen\, from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the N inth Circuit\, is based in Alaska\, which makes her one of only a few feder al judges authorized to hire non-US citizens for paid clerkships. Before joining the Ninth Circuit\, she previously was on the Alaska Supreme Court and Alaska Superior Court.
Hear from this judge about her work and clerking and ask questions in a face-to-face\, small group set ting. Through your presence\, you can express interest that could help you if you choose to apply for her clerkship in the future. Even if you are not interested in working for the particular judge\, simply learn more about l awyering\, judging\, and clerking\, which could help you with other judges. After graduation\, Judge Christen served as a law clerk on the Alaska Superior Court before entering private practice. She th en served as a judge on the Alaska Superior Court and a justice on the Alas ka Supreme Court before her nomination to a seat on the Ninth Circuit.
