Judge Ana de Alba of the U.S. Court of App eals for the Ninth Circuit was previously a partner at a civil litigation l aw firm\, helped found a Workers’ Rights Clinic\, and served as a judge on the Fresno County Superior Court and as the first Latina District Judge on the Eastern District of California. President Biden later nominated Judge d e Alba to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals where the Senate confirmed her in November 2023.
