g on her work in movement lawyering and her role in the IntegrateNYC lawsui
t\, which was the first lawsuit in the nation asserting a right to an antir
acist education. The lawsuit challenges the many ways in which the State an
d City reproduce racial inequality through the NYC school system\, includin
g:<br />-maintaining a racialized pipeline to the City’s prime educational
opportunities\, which relegates many students of color to neglected schools
\;<br />-allowing schools to teach a white and Eurocentric curriculum that
marginalizes people of color\;<br />-failing to build and support a diverse
educator workforce\;<br />-and failing to provide adequate mental health s
upports to redress the racialized harms students experience in City schools
. </p><p>Professor Medina Camiscoli writes at the intersection of constitut
ional law\, education law\, and youth social movements. She employs partici
patory law scholarship and movement law to include\, elevate\, and credit m
obilized youth who reimagine law and prefigure radical democracies. She ide
 ntifies as a proud first generation\, LGBTQAI+ legal scholar–practitioner o
f the Puerto Rican diaspora\, born and raised in New Jersey. </p><p>Please
