Political polarization in the United State s has become one of the defining conflicts of our time\, and one that most Americans say they want a way out of. Braver Angels is the largest national volunteer organization helping Americans build together with people who se e the world differently. They call it courageous citizenship.
In this talk\, Maury Giles\, CEO of Braver Angels\, will share what the organizati on has learned over nearly a decade about what actually shifts when people contend without contempt\, why a volunteer-led movement is uniquely positio ned to change civic culture\, and what this work suggests for anyone practi cing conflict resolution\, negotiation\, or peacebuilding in deeply divided societies. The talk will be followed by Q&A session moderated by Donna Hic ks.
