Just Show Up Reading Club – Compassion & Conviction

We live in a very polarized time – a time when people are being asked to put themselves in very narrow political boxes in order to be heard. Many people – and many Christians – are dissatisfied with the limited options. Is there another way? How should the Church respond to the conversations around us? What role should a thoughtful individual Christian play? Justin Giboney, a recent First Friday speaker, grapples with questions around a Christian’s proper role in politics in his book, Compassion and Conviction. We will gather weekly for a “Just Show Up” Reading Group. No homework required! Lunch is provided!
