Griswold Hall; 110 Classroom

This event is organised by the Harvard International Arbitration Law Students Association (HIALSA), in partnership with Harvard Law School Advocates for Human Rights and Lambda.

“Launched by Claudia Salomon in her first month as President of the ICC Court, the LGBTQIA network aims to build on a range of ICC efforts to champion the benefits of diversity and inclusivity, including the launch earlier this year of ICC World Business Pride, an ICC staff-led initiative to foster an inclusive environment for those in the LGBTQIA community.

The creation of an LGBTQIA+ network signals ICC’s continued commitment to diversity efforts building on progress made to improve gender balance of arbitral tribunals and the Court Bureau under former ICC Court President Alexis Mourre.

With a view to expanding the network through connections to young arbitrators and other ICC networks, the ICC Court LGBTQIA network is currently open to all members of the ICC Court. Objectives include supporting personal development, enabling best practice sharing, building understanding, and ensuring accountability.”

The event will be moderated by Karim Zein, LL.M Student at Harvard Law School (VP of Conference at HIALSA, Co-Director of Activism at HLS Advocates for Human Rights and LL.M Representative for Lambda).

Speakers are HLS alumna, Ms. Claudia Salomon, President of the International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Peter Sherwin, Partner at Proskauer in New York City and current US member to the ICC International Court of Arbitration.

The event will take place on Thursday April 21st, 2022, 12:30 – 1:45 pm (ET) and is open Harvard Students
