Langdell Hall; 231 Fishman Reading Room

Join the HLS Library on Wednesday November 10 from 4pm-5pm in the Fishman Room, Langdell Hall 2 North for a HLS Library Ideas Salon on the Rerooted Archive, a documentation project that captures 100 years of Syrian-Armenian history, founded by Anoush Baghdassarian (HLS 3L) and Ani Schug. This event is free and open to Harvard ID holders. If you, or an event participant, require disability-related accommodations, please contact Accessibility Services at accessibility@law.harvard.edu.

The Rerooted Archive’s mission is threefold: to preserve “a robust collection of testimonies, photos, and documents in order to preserve the language, customs, and culture of Syrian Armenians…[provide] vibrant primary sources for scholarly purposes to spur more research and understanding of this community…[and ensure] Armenian voices are heard in the justice efforts for Syria, which have mostly overlooked religious and ethnic minority communities.”

HLS Library Ideas Salons are moderated forums for current HLS students to share and discuss their work beyond the classroom.
