Jamie Beaton graduated from Harvard University, Magna Cum Laude in 2016 with a Bachelors and Masters in Applied Mathematics. In 2017 Jamie was featured on the 2017 Forbes Asia – 30 Under 30 List. In June 2019, Jamie graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business with an MBA and Masters of Arts in Education (Arjay Miller Scholar). He completed his DPhil in Public Policy on the Rhodes Scholarship analyzing the drivers of student satisfaction and student outcomes in online learning environments. Jamie was appointed by the New Zealand National Party following the 2020 election as part of a five-person panel to conduct an external assessment of the political party and develop its long-term strategy. He completed a Schwarzman Scholarship. Most recently, he has been completing a JD at Yale Law School focusing on corporate litigation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and activist investing.
Jamie worked as the youngest ever investment analyst for Julian Robertson’s Tiger Management. He is the co-founder and CEO of Crimson Education which supports high schoolers to gain offers to the most competitive universities as he did, including Harvard, Stanford, Cambridge, Yale and Princeton. Jamie has grown Crimson Education to include a network of over 20,000 students and with over 2,300 tutors and mentors. Crimson has raised more than $65M USD from some of the world’s leading venture investors like Tiger Global and operates across more than 20 countries. It is the world’s largest and most effective college admissions consulting firm using a combination of proprietary technology, content and algorithms alongside a global network of mentors, tutors and counselors to support students.
In 2020 he launched Crimson Global Academy, a world-class fully-accredited private online high school, now working with more than 1000 students from 30 countries and top faculty from the UK, US, Australia and NZ. The school provides both the A Level and AP curriculum. The school is backed by advisory board members including Sir John Key, former NZ Prime Minister and Kevin Rudd, former Australian Prime Minister.
He is also the author of USA Today Bestseller “ACCEPTED! Secrets to Gaining Admission to the World’s Top Universities”, published by Wiley.
