  to researchers\, advocates\, and courts. As the federal government changes
  how it collects and reports information on race and ethnicity\, sexual ori
 entation and gender identity\, climate\, and other issues\, those changes c
 ould have far-reaching consequences. This session will explain what is happ
 ening\, why it matters\, and how lawyers and advocates can respond through 
 public comments\, litigation\, and other forms of engagement. </span><span

 \;">Meghan is a policy strategist with over 15 years of experience working 
 to make change on issues like data policy\, economic justice\, and LGBTQ ri
 ghts.  Meghan worked as Policy Director at the National LGBTQ Task Force an
 d served in the Biden Administration in senior data policy roles at the Cen
 sus Bureau\, Department of Commerce\, and White House Office of Science and
  Technology Policy.</span></p>
