  at the forefront of tackling the challenges presented by digital markets. 
 It has adapted its competition framework in multiple ways\, including updat
 ing traditional theories of harm and developing new ones to better suit the
  digital economy. Additionally\, as many jurisdictions worldwide\, the EU i
 s actively reflecting on how competition law can help achieve broader publi
 c interest goals\, such as strengthening democracy and combating climate ch
 ange.</p><p>Martín Martínez is Professor of Competition Law at the Institut
 e of European Studies (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and at the College of
  Europe. He is currently also a member of the competition team at the Legal
  Service of the European Commission. Previously\, he worked as a law clerk 
 to Mr. Anthony Collins\, former Judge and Advocate General at the Court of 
 Justice of the EU.</p><p>Lunch will be provided. The event is co-sponsored 
 by the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies.</p>
