Join us for a conversation with Verity Coyle, a veteran arms control and disarmament campaigner who is a senior advisor in Amnesty International’s military, security, and policing team. Verity’s work covers the Arms Trade Treaty, the trade in conventional arms, the use of inhumane weapons, and the use and transfer of armed drones. A current area of focus is the use, trade, and regulation of law enforcement equipment to prevent torture and she is part of an ongoing project with the HLS International Human Rights Clinic to create new international law in this area. She also works on fully autonomous weapons systems and other emerging weapons and artificial intelligence technologies.
