Each year the LPE Student Association asks professors to give lunchtime talks offering a critical perspective on how the law is shaped by\, and in turn shapes\, who has and does not have polit ical and economic power. Our goal is to give students strategies and intell ectual structures to challenge status quo systems of power in the 1L curric ulum and other foundational courses\, as well as to imagine what a legal cu rriculum that achieves racial\, economic\, and social justice would look li ke.
This year's presentation on corporate law will feature Professor Mariana Pargendler\, who will discuss a recent paper of hers inspired by h er appearance at last year's Deprogramming series\, which she has also titl ed "Deprogramming Corporations." Lunch will be served.
