 d advance directives.</p><p class="wp-block-paragraph">“We’re used to heari
 ng about conscientious <em>refusers</em>: physicians and pharmacists whose 
 moral convictions lead them to deny a range of treatments that they deem si
 nful or wrong\,” Fox writes. “Less familiar in public discourse are those m
 edical professionals who have weighty reasons of their own for supplying tr
 eatment in ways that state law or institutional policy forbids. Call them c
 onscientious <em>providers</em>.”</p><p class="wp-block-paragraph">In conve
 rsation with Petrie-Flom Center Faculty Director I. Glenn Cohen\, Fox will 
 consider how the law is set up to protect conscientious refusers more than
