Join HLS Advocates and LIDS for a virtual presentation by Alexis Demirdjian on the process of building a case before international tribunals. Alexis Demirdjian is Canadian lawyer, and has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 2003. He studied in Montreal and obtained a Major in Political Science, a Bachelors inLaw and a Masters in International Law. He started his career in 2002 at the ICTY where he worked for 13 years, both as a defense counsel and in the Office of the Prosecutor. Since April 2015, he has been working at the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court. He is also an Adjunct Professor at Stockton University’s School of General Studies where he teaches an online course on genocide and international tribunals, as part of the Masters in Arts on Holocaust and Genocide Studies. For the past 20 years, Mr Demirdjian has worked on different cases dealing with military and civilian leaders. Please RSVP: lunch will be served.
