Zak rejoined Ropes and Gray in 2024 after serving as antitrust counse l at Thermo Fisher Scientific\, a Fortune 500 life sciences company. Prior to first joining Ropes & Gray\, Zak was a trial attorney in the Technology and Financial Services Section of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Antitrus t Division.
Zak will share insights from his experiences across priva te practice\, in-house counsel\, and government enforcement\, offering a ra re perspective on antitrust law from all sides of the field. The conversati on will explore foundational antitrust principles and how they apply in rea l-world contexts\, connecting core theory with practical lessons from Zak’s work on major merger reviews and conduct investigations.
