Vinod Lala is an accomplishe d finance executive with 25+ years’ experience in strategic investments\, M &A\, corporate finance\, board advisory and public shareholder engagement c oupled with domain expertise in cloud communications\, digital infrastructu re and mobile networks.
For the last ten years\, Vinod has been the C hief Strategy Officer at Vonage (previously a NASDAQ publicly traded compan y) where he spearheaded strategy and M&A execution that transformed Vonage from a residential VoIP provider into a cloud communications leader through a series of acquisitions. These culminated in Vonage’s sale to Ericsson fo r $6.2 billion—yielding a 7x return for Vonage’s shareholders. As part of E ricsson\, Lala has been collaborating on strategic and transactional undert akings to advance its next generation communications initiatives.
Pri or to Vonage\, Lala was a senior investment banker with $62 billion in M&A across 49 publicly announced US and cross-border transactions and strategic situations and $30 billion in IPO\, equity and debt financings. He began h is career as a corporate/securities lawyer at Weil Gotshal & Manges and is a member of the New York Bar.
