Greta is the Chief Counsel and Senior Advisor to the House J udiciary Committee\, where she advises the Ranking Member on complex legal\ , oversight\, and policy matters at the intersection of Congress and the ex ecutive branch. Her career spans senior leadership roles in Congress and th e U.S. Department of Justice\, including serving as Acting Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Legislative Affairs and as Chief Oversig ht Counsel for the House Committee on Oversight and Reform. Prior to servin g on the Hill\, she practiced at Cravath\, Swaine & Moore LLP and served as a Trial Attorney at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission\, litiga ting high-stakes securities\, enforcement\, and market integrity matters. S he began her career as a judicial law clerk on the Sixth Circuit. She has a lso taught legal research and writing at Georgetown University Law Center a nd enjoys mentoring law students on building meaningful\, public-impact leg al careers across litigation\, government\, and policymaking.
