 Merrill is a former senior hedge fund executive who specialized in merger a
 rbitrage and event-driven investing. For the last five years of his career 
 Allan was a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Citadel\, where he led three i
 nvestment businesses. Prior to that he spent ten years at Eton Park Capital
  Management\, where he was a Partner and Senior Managing Director. He began
  his hedge fund career after law school at Stark Investments.</p><p>Since r
 etiring\, Allan focuses his time on mentoring\, volunteer work\, philanthro
 py\, and personal investing. Allan completed his J.D. and M.B.A. at Harvard
  in 2004\, and has a BBA from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver\, Canada
 .</p>
