 uthor of The Cost of Fear: Why Most Safety Advice is Sexist and How We Can 
 Stop Gender-Based Violence which was called was called a "deeply needed res
 ource that expands rather than diminishes options for women" by Booklist. S
 tone's second book\, "Don't Fight Back" and 10 Other Myths About Crime\, Pe
 rsonal Safety\, and Gender-based Violence comes out in May of this year. Th
 ese books chart a course for how we can make safety choices that expand our
  worlds while also contributing to the fight for social justice. Together\,
  they will discuss the political\, social\, and personal importance of self
 -defense as a primary tool for change. Lunch will be served.  Complimentary
