This year's conference focuses on t
hemes typically not centered in international law conversations. We believe
the event occurs at an important moment in international law\, with increa
sing attention on international law beyond the traditional framing. This ye
ar's conference features four panels and one keynote address. Each discussi
on will cover key topics that do not\, in our view\, get enough attention i
n international law space. Panels will focus on (1) environmental justice i
n small-island developing states\, (2) the role of law in cultural heritage
protection and repatriation\, (3) the future of the Third World Approaches
to International Law (TWAIL) movement\, and (4) the paradox of the rule of
law.
