Virtual Public Reading of Scripture

July 29 @ 12:00 pm - 12:45 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

An event every week that begins at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, repeating until August 26, 2020

Have you been wanting to read the Bible but never seem to have the time? The Public Reading of Scripture helped God’s people remember who God is, who they were, and who they are called to be. This practice was so important to Paul that in 1 Timothy 4:13, he instructed all to “… devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.”

We invite you to this practice happening all around the world. All are welcome to join us virtually. Join when you can, leave when you must. Everyone is muted, your video can be turned off, you can be anonymous, and you can eat your lunch with no disruption. Your only requirement: listening. This is a time saved just for you. A mid-week break in a sense. Experience a few moments of peace, of reflection, of assurance, of hope.
