The Pros and Cons of the Artemis Accords (with NASA and the International Institute of Space Law)

December 4, 2020 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The Pros and Cons of the Artemis Accords, with Mike Gold, Acting Associate Administrator, Office of International and Interagency Relations, NASA and Kai-Uwe Shrogl, President of the International Institute of Space Law.

Join the HLS Space Law Society on Friday, December 4th, 12-1 pm, for a discussion of the Artemis Accords, with guest speakers Mike Gold and Kai-Uwe Shrogl! The Artemis Accords are a set of principles intended to guide exploration cooperation for nations participating in NASA’s Artemis program, which seeks to reestablish human presence on the moon. Critics have alleged that the Accords are too US-centric, or urged continued discussion via the UN Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space. Mike Gold will present the pros of the Accords, Kai-Uwe Shrogl will present the cons, followed by an open discussion and debate.
