On October 7 from 6:30 to 8:30pm at Milstein West B in the WCC there will be a gathering to discuss the career of Thurgood Marshall, “Mr. Civil Rights” — activist lawyer, court of appeals judge, Solicitor General, and Supreme Court Justice.
Professor Randall Kennedy will make remarks focused on neglected features of Marshall’s career followed by commentary offered by Professor Terry Fisher. The floor will then be open to questions, comments, and objections.
Pizza, cookies, and soft drinks will be available while supplies last.
Assisting with the staging of this event is the Charles Hamilton Houston Institute and the Dean of Students Office.
