“Rules for Wrongdoers”, a lecture by Arthur Ripstein

March 14 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Professors Naz Modirzadeh, Gabriella Blum and John Goldberg invite you to “Rules for Wrongdoers,” a lecture by Arthur Ripstein, Professor of Law and Philosophy and University Professor, University of Toronto. In his lecture, Professor Ripstein will argue that the very thing that makes war wrongful—the fact that which side prevails does not depend on who is in the right—also provides the moral standard for evaluating the conduct of war, both the grounds for going to war and the ways in which wars are fought. A reception will follow.

This event is sponsored by the Harvard Law School Program on International law and Armed Conflict (HLS PILAC).
