Please join Philippe Sands QC for an informal talk on the legitimacy of investor-state arbitration. Prof. Sands is a barrister at Matrix Chambers, has appeared as counsel and advocate before many international courts and tribunals, including ICJ, ITLOS, ECHR and ICC. He sits as arbitrator in investor-state arbitration (ICSID, PCA etc) and the CAS. He is Professor of Laws and Director of the Centre on International Court and Tribunals at UCL and a Visiting Lecturer at HLS. He has authored 16 books on international law, including his best-sellers Lawless World and, more recently, East West Street.
