Maximizing International Engagement during and after HLS: A Panel Discussion with J.D. Alumni Madison Condon, Lindsay Henson, and Stephen Lam

October 15 @ 12:45 pm - 1:45 pm

Not sure how to explore topics of US and international law? Wondering whether to spend a winter term or summer abroad? Curious about what a career in another country might look like? Seeking advice from alumni who utilized HLS’ international, foreign, and comparative offerings to build their skillsets?

Join us for a discussion with former HLS students featured in the International Legal Studies Roadmaps:

Madison Condon ’14 is an Associate Professor at Boston University School of Law, where she researches the interaction of climate change and business law. After graduating from HLS and clerking on the Eighth Circuit, Madison held fellowships at Columbia University’s Earth Institute and NYU Law. She recently joined the Massachusetts Attorney General’s investor fraud lawsuit against ExxonMobil.

Lindsay Henson ‘14 joined Lawyers against Abuse (LvA) in Johannesburg, South Africa after graduating from HLS, first for a one-year fellowship and then as Executive Director, a position she has held for the past six years. LvA is a community-based non-profit organization that works to strengthen the justice system’s response to gender-based violence by providing legal services and therapy to victims, working closely with local state actors and empowering communities.

Stephen Lam ’13 worked as an M&A lawyer at Sullivan & Cromwell in New York and Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco before joining SoftBank Group International, a Tokyo-based investment holding company that invests in breakthrough technologies throughout the world. As General Counsel, Stephen serves as legal lead on growth equity and M&A transactions throughout the Americas, Asia and Europe.

This event is open to members of the HLS community.  Please register in advance with your HLS email address to access the Zoom link.
