The Lesbians of Color Symposium (LOCS) Collective , Inc. – a nonprofit grassroots organization dedicated to building community and cultivating resources for LBTQ+ women of color – will present New England’s 6th Annual Lesbians of Color Symposium (LOCS), “Involve to Evolve: ‘Your silence will not protect you’ ” at Harvard Law School on March 9 – 10, 2018. Established in 2012, LOCS unites and empowers LBTQ+ women and non-binary people of color and allies for advocacy and networking in an affirming, privilege-free environment created to foster social innovation and build partnerships that promote solidarity, community and coalition building. The symposium features dynamic speakers and sessions focused on topics affecting the LBTQ+ communities of color and cater to an inclusive and diverse audience.
LOCS is committed to the protection of civil and human rights for all communities of color. We do this by using our symposium and collective voices as a platform to ensure equity, equality, and justice.
We currently exist within an openly anti-LGBTQ, people of color and immigrant White House administration. To that end, LOCS is critical and essential to fortifying our community, magnifying our visibility and amplifying our voices. We invite you to attend and support the 6th Annual Lesbians of Color Symposium (LOCS) on March 9 – 10, 2018.
LOCS is co-hosted by Harvard Law School Lambda and QTPOC and sponsored by Harvard Law School Lambda, Fenway Health, The Meeting Point, National Center for Lesbians Rights (NCLR), MassEquality Education Fund, Boston Pride , Womxn of Color Weekend, Bisexual Resource Center, Safe Word Society and other social justice community organizations and businesses.
