Landmark Lecture: Recapping the $1.5 Billion ITT settlement

April 6, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Join the Consumer Protection Law Student Association for their upcoming event: Landmark Lecture: Recapping the $1.5 Billion ITT settlement.

Come hear from Toby Merrill, the director of the Project on Predatory Student Lending, and Cathy Steege & Melissa Root, two partners at Jenner & Block who worked with Harvard’s Project on Predatory Student Lending to secure a landmark $1.5 billion settlement against ITT’s bankruptcy estate. The settlement was the first of its kind and canceled over $500 million in student debt due to ITT’s systematic unfair and deceptive practices. The presentation will consist of a short presentation describing the case and then will be followed by a Q&A open to all attendees.

Register here.
