Because juvenile courts hear cases in closed sessions, it is difficult for individuals to fully understand the work and impact these courts have on child welfare and juvenile justice. This lunch talk will unveil the efforts of juvenile courts in Massachusetts to protect children, as well as the initiatives spearheaded by the Boston Juvenile Court to further strengthen the system and its procedures. Come join Judge Joseph Johnston to hear about the crucial work of juvenile courts and why you should care.

Lunch is provided. This event is organized by CYA and co-sponsored by CAP, Judicial Process in Trial Courts Clinic, and Criminal Justice Institute.
