Islamic finance is a thriving sector. With over $2 trillion in assets, Islamic finance is growing faster than conventional finance in many markets. The governments of the UK and Luxembourg have issued Islamic debt (sukuk), as have GE and Goldman Sachs.

Our speakers, Hdeel Abdelhady (MassPoint PLC) and Aamir A. Rehman (Hoopoe Capital) are leading experts in the field of Islamic Finance in the United States. Their talk will introduce into the principles of Islamic Finance from the perspectives of both legal and financial professionals. The session will address ethical and jurisprudential issues, legal matters, and commercial considerations. All are welcome and no background knowledge of the subject is required.

This event is co-sponsored by the Muslim Law Students Association (MLSA) and Tax & Financial Regulation Students Association (TaxFin).

Non-pizza lunch will be provided.
