From Ferguson to Gaza: Queer Reflections on the Black and Palestinian Struggles for Justice

October 27, 2014 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Speakers Sa’ed Atshan and Darnell Moore will reflect on their forthcoming article (titled “Reciprocal Solidarity: Where the Black and Palestinian Queer Struggles Meet”) to be published in Biography. In this article, two LGBTQ men, one Black American and the other Palestinian, theorize “reciprocal solidarity” as a model of solidarity that thrives on love, friendship, storytelling, reciprocity, shared experiences, struggles, and queer kinship. Presented by the Black Law Students Association, Justice for Palestine, Lambda, the Muslim Law Students Association, the National Lawyers Guild (HLS chapter), Students for Inclusion, and Unbound. Dinner will be served.
