The WLA Partnership Committee and WLA Partners are excited to host a panel focused on managing work and family as part of a dual career couple. Speakers include Anne Weisberg (Director of the Women’s Initiative at Paul, Weiss); Alexia Korberg (Partner at Paul, Weiss; successfully challenged the Defense of Marriage Act in the Supreme Court, leading to the Court’s 2013 decision in Windsor that resulted in federal recognition of same-sex marriage); Michael Grinthal, (supervising attorney at TakeRoot Justice, a New York organization dedicated to elevating and supporting progressive grassroots and community organizations); Moshe Spinowitz (Partner at Skadden Boston and tax law specialist) and Daisy Wademan Dowling (Founder and CEO of Workparent, a consulting and research firm focused on the experience of working parents).
Lunch will be provided for all attendees, and a coffee chat with the panelists will follow the event!
The WLA Partnership Committee is committed to the idea that successful advocacy for gender equity and women’s rights does not exist in a vacuum. The Committee works for change by building partnerships with allies and colleagues across the greater HLS community and the legal profession. HLS Partners is an organization of HLS students who are not members of the WLA but actively support its mission and the cause of gender equity. We thank Paul, Weiss for its sponsorship of this event.
